Top 5 Trending Fall Accessories to Have this Season

There are a few things that make a great outfit…. confidence, of course, being one of them, and accessories. Add the right fall accessories and you can instantly take any outfit from drab to fab. Fall is my favorite season because the opportunities for accessories are almost endless.

Today I’m rounding up the top 5 trending fall accessories to have this season and they are…

1: Over the knee boots

This style of boot is both chic and sexy. The trick to keeping the look classy is to show as little skin as possible. Wear them with tights, leggings, jeans, sweaters and layered looks like here and here. My favorite pairs of over-the-knee boots are by Stuart Weitzman. Although a bit more on the pricey side, their boots are incredibly comfortable and come in a variety of colors.  There are also a few less expensive versions that I’ve linked up above as well.

2: Hats

A hat is functional to keep the sun out of your face, your hair in place and make a fashion statement. Plus, did you know you lose 30% of your body heat through your head? So put one on to keep some of that body heat! My favorite types of hats are newsboy caps, fedoras, and berets.

 3: Tights

When the weather starts to cool down and you still want to rock your skirts and dresses just throw on a pair of tights. They help keep your legs warm and elevate your look. I carefully put mine on with cotton gloves (and after I’ve removed all my jewelry that could snag them.) When I worked in an office, I would wear black or nude control-top nylons to keep my legs warm, not have to shave every day, and as a kind of girdle effect around my waistline. Nude nylons are also great for making your legs appear airbrushed.

4: Cozy Scarves

I love nothing more than wrapping myself up in a big soft scarf! Plus they are versatile, Wrap it around your shoulders and belt it for a cape look or traditionally around your neck.

5: Statement Bags

The right bag can really tie a whole look together. Whether it’s a bucket bag, a backpack or a classic tote. Of all the colors that come out during the fall season, jewel tones are my absolute favorite. And what better way to show off a pop of color in your ensemble than with your handbag!

*Style Tip: If you ever feel as though you have too many accessories, remove one and reassess the situation.

As always, thank you for reading! Check out more of my favorite fall fashion style guides below!

Laura
