5 Ways to Elevate Your Style For Spring
Spring is less than a week away and I am so happy to be pulling out my trench coats, spring outfits, and accessories! If you need a few ideas for spring cleaning I shared them in this post dedicated to closet organization and tidying up.
1. Invest in Elegant Jewelry
My favorite kinds of jewelry are elegant gold rings, dainty necklaces and anything with pearls. These kinds of pieces can be worn layered or by themselves.
2. Wear a Trench Coat
Trench coats are a mix of feminine and masculine. Easily worn open or buttoned closed. I love how wearing a trench coat belted shows off a woman’s curves and wearing it open shows her outfit. Colors like beige, neutrals, whites, and creams are great for spring. This is my favorite trench coat here. It’s lightweight, warm and not constricting. See my post here on my favorite pink coats for spring.
3. Invest in Neutrals
Last fall I really started getting into head-to-toe neutral looks like this one and this one here. This spring I will be swapping out chunky knit sweaters for lightweight cardigans, breezy spring skirts, and sandals. Neutrals are timeless and can be worn in any season which makes them great investment pieces for your wardrobe.
4. Mid-Length Dresses
The thing I love most about midi-length dresses is not having to worry about showing too much skin and still getting to wear a dress. They are great to wear at any time of day, for errands, or a night out.
5. Carry a Ladylike Handbag
Just know that a great handbag does not have to be a luxury designer handbag. They should just be well made, clean, and not tacky. I prefer a more structured handbag like my favorite Saint Laurent Tri-Quilt Medium Envelope Bag that you see in the photo above (best handbag purchase I’ve made along with my black version.)
