Is there ever a style you wish was still in its prime?
That is how I feel about hats and fascinators that were once part of everyday dressing. Watching The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel brought it all back for me. It was after bringing the second season that I decided I was going to order a good number of hats to add to my ever-growing collection. I have worn fascinators a few times like when we went to tea at the Peninsula Hotel or my time at the Breeder’s Cup Races. I’ve even made a few of my hats that I wore to various horse race outfits. At first I felt a bit funny about wearing this particular fascinator in public. The reason behind this was because I didn’t want to seem like I was trying too hard. With a classic trench coat, black pumps, and a bold lip color how could it be over the top? Plus, it worked well to keep my hair in place and the sun out of my eyes.
