Now that I have got my furniture set up in my living room, it is time to start adding my personal touches. I want everyone in the room to be cohesive and full of items I love. While it is very temping to go into every home decor store and buy every pretty thing I see, I remind myself that if it I don’t love it, dont buy it.

I realize it takes time to curate beautiful things in your home, I am just a bit impatient and want to find them all ASAP so I can be done decorating one room and move on to the next! At least I have plenty of inspiration to go off of thanks to Pinterest. So I have rounded up a few of my favorite inspiration photos to share with you.

Fun fact- coffee tables used to be called cocktail tables but once the prohibition hit, people switched from cocktails to coffee. So it then became known as a coffee table. I like cocktail better.

My favorite coffee table decor has got to be fresh flowers. They always add life and beauty to a home. I would love fresh flowers on every single table in my house. But for now, I’m happy with just the coffee table. Maybe for the next party I have I’ll go all out and put them every where 🙂

I love the idea of decorating with multiple kinds of items. They come together to make lots of interesting things to look at. Keep in mind that having a coffee table that is glass or acrylic allows better light to show off your fabulous decorating on all shelves!

I also love the look of stacked coffee table books. Especially if they are fashion related. I am still on the look out for good ones to add to my collection. Sometimes they are a bit expensive ($45) so maybe my girlfriends will buy them for me as a house warming gifts 😉 Little artifacts like these bronze animals and white coral are super cute, too.

Happy home decorating!

    1. Thanks Kelly! The nice thing about decorating a coffee table is that you can always change it around if you don’t like it.
