Why Staging your Home To Sell is Worth the Investment

Why Staging your Home To Sell is Worth the Investment by California Real Estate Agent Laura Yazdi, Is home staging worth it

As a licensed California Real Estate Agent, I always recommend to my clients to have their home staged before putting it on the market. This is because on average, a staged home sells between 1% to 5%  percent higher value and spends 33% to 50% less time on the market than an unstaged home!  These stats pulled from the National Association of Realtors and HomeAdvisor both show why staging your home to sell is worth the investment!

What is Home Staging?

Home staging is temporarily furnishing and decorating a home with furniture rental companies such as Feather Home There are many reasons why one may need to furnish a home. The home is currently empty, the sellers have sparse furniture or unfurnished areas of the home, or their current furnishings make the house look outdated and not ideal. Imagine going to an open house and the owners have already moved out. The home is completely empty. This can make it difficult for potential buyers to get a sense of the actual scale of the rooms. For example, how well does a queen bed fit in a particular bedroom? Can a living room comfortably seat a family of six? What could this extra room be used for? Staging a home with the appropriate amount and type of furniture can help show potential buyers the scale of a home. It can also give them ideas for how to use particular spaces such as a screened-in porch, extra bedroom, etc.

More than 80% of real estate agents representing buyers said home staging made it easier for their buyers to see themselves in the home.
