Recently I dug up these unpublished photos of our trip to Palm Springs from the very beginning of the summer. Seeing these beautiful images allows me to relive that fabulous trip all over again! As the girls and I were leaving Palm Springs I saw this beautiful spot of bougainvillea and immediately pulled over for an impromptu photo shoot. I was not even wearing any make-up and my hair was the resort of being in the pool all day (thank goodness for big hats and pretty sunglasses!)
Liz just happened to have the perfect jumpsuit to compliment my dress and jumped in for a few of these photos. I love how these turned out. For all you camera nerds out there, normally I shoot with an 85mm 1.8/f lens. But Lately I have been testing out different camera settings and lenses. These particular photos were shot with an 18-55mm 3.5-5.6/f. I really wanted to get the detail of the background and not the blurry background you may be used to with blogger’s photos.
As for this beautiful pink printed dress…I cannot believe I never did a DIY post. It was super easy and is still one of my favorite DIY projects to date (along with my Feather Blazer and Derby Hat of course.) If I ever find more scarves I promise to actually create a post showing you how I made it.
