This past weekend was crazy busy, but so much fun! My best friend from Minnesota is in town for the Grammy’s since her fiancé’s band Halestorm was nominated (and won!) the award for best hard rock/metal performance!  It has been six months since I saw her in New York last fall so I am really looking forward to our get together tonight. Saturday was the Grammy Celebrity gifting lounge where I got to meet the designer for D’Milikah Brazilian swimwear. Then the Judith Bright Open House- love their jewelry! Definitely a great stop for anyone looking for a V-day present.  And finally, I stopped by the Decades designer sale. It was very tempting with all of those shoes, but I just bought a new camera and want a pair of Louboutins so I resisted. And let’s be honest, I have enough shoes to last me a lifetime. Do not worry, I will be catching up on posting photos very soon!

Since we have clients in town this month, I decided to dress more professionally than normal. Of course I added my own flare with an embellished dress, high heels with a wooden wedge, and gold accessories.

If you cannot find an embellished dress that you like, just wear a statement necklace with a simple black sheath dress like this $13 dress from Target.

Funny story about these heels- I saw a girl wearing them once and asked where she got them. She told me the brand name, Charles David, but said that it was a while ago and I would never be able to find them now. Challenge accepted. It seemed like she just didn’t want anyone else to have them. I found them 3 weeks later on sale at Macy’s for $50 🙂 Moral of the story- if you really want something, don’t give up looking for it.
