My collection of matching crop top and pencil skirt combos has definitely grown this past year. The versatily of the different pieces makes them great for all kinds of outfits. I love that I can wear the top and skirt together with a bit of mid drift showing for a sassy look, or cover the midriff and the pieces look like a dress! It is a two-in-one aka best investment pieces ever! You can even choose to wear the top or skirt completely separate from each other and mix in other pieces that you own. With the amount of versatility going on here, I think every girl should have more crop top and pencil skirt combos in her closet.

This floral ensemble by Bar iii was on sale at Macy’s. I saw a bright floral pattern out of the corner of my eye as I was trying to run out without buying anything. Alas… Macy’s you won. You always do.  Why I even bother to go into the store to return anything is beyond me. Somehow I always end up spending more than I am returning.  I mean, how could I not go home with this outfit?! (I hope my parents nor my boyfriend respond to this statement.) Well, luckily for all of you I did. And immediately I knew how I would style it for the blog in an effort to further convince you that sets like this are the bomb.com and brands should make more of them.

The pieces are mostly white, so I decided to bring out a bit more of the colors with a coral blazer and some pink cap-toe pumps. I know, I know, only I would say there isn’t enough color in an outfit like this. It is not everyday I get to wear a coral blazer, so when I have the opportunity you better believe I am going to take it!  One of my favorite sets (that had to have the moment I saw it) is this set by Milly that I wore over the summer. It was even featured on Lookbook’s Instagram. (#OMG!) See, even Lookbook likes matching crop tops and pencil skirts. If we haven’t convinced you to like them by now, then I’ll just try again next time 😉

Happy Friday and thanks for reading!

xoxo,

Laura
