The travel size beauty products I never leave home without

Oh traveling. One of my favorite things to do as I get to see new places and experience new cultures. My whole body absolutely loves it. Every part of my body that is, except for my skin and my hair. Traveling can wreak havoc on these areas.  I have such sensitive skin that it easily becomes dry and irritated after just one plane ride. After many years traveling under my belt, I’ve got a few go-to travel size beauty products that help to keep my skin + hair healthy and hydrated. I never leave home without them.

OUAI Dry Shampoo

The last thing I want to worry about on any trip is having to wash my hair. Dry shampoo is a lifesaver and will prolong the life of my dirty hair for a few extra days. I particularly like OUAI Dry SHampoo due to the fact that it sprays on clear, smells divine, and does not leave a sticky residue after applying.

Whole Foods Lip Balm

I can’t go anywhere without lip balm. I’ve tried probably 100 different types over the years and the one that feels the most hydrating is the Whole Foods Lip Balm. It comes in a few different varieties; my favorite being Vanilla Honey.

Burts Bees Complete Nourishment Facial Oil

Every time I put this oil on someone asks, “what is that lovely smell.” This oil is 99% natural and only $20 at Target. I put it on every night and every morning after I wash my face to bring back some oil to my skin. I also put this on when I’m on the plane before applying a deep moisture mask.

Clarks Botanicals Deep Moisture Mask

I’ve learned that just because a facial lotion is thick doesn’t mean it is any more hydrating. This is not the case for Clarks Botanicals Deep Moisture Mask. A little goes a long way and this little jar is my saving grace when I travel. It’s my go-to day and night for moisturized skin.

Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream

This little miracle bottle of leave-in conditioner brings life back to my hair when it’s had enough. It calms my frizzy and thirsty hair plus, it elevates the shine and restores softness.

The only product currently missing from this list is my daily SPF sunscreen that I apply after my facial oil and before my makeup. Currently, I’m loving UltaMD’s UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46  sunscreen because it’s lightweight, doesn’t sweat off, and is formulated for sensitive skin!

A note about travel size beauty products…

Not all of our favorite products come in travel size. Not to worry! No need to pack the entire bottle. If you cannot find the travel size version of your favorite product I recommend improvising. Put a travel size amount in a smaller jar (Target carries a few travel size bottles.) Or reuse old travel size containers.

Also, make sure to carefully seal liquids in your luggage. It’s not fun dealing with a bottle of lotion or liquid spilling all over your bag! I put all of my liquids in spill-proof Zip-lock bags so, in the event that they do break open, the spill will stay in one spot and be easy to clean up.

What are some of your favorite travel size beauty products?

xoxo,

Laura
