Thigh High Slit Pencil Skirt
Like so many of you, I work in a conservative office setting. Years ago, while working in retail, I purchased a lot of office style clothing to wear for my first “office job.” Note to self, don’t make this mistake. While I still love most of the items I picked out years ago, a few pieces have a certain time and place to shine. Thank goodness for this fashion blog and the events I have the privilege of attending. Otherwise, I don’t know when this thigh-high slit pencil skirt from Express would ever get to see the light of day.
Pair it with anything red and you are asking for trouble. Lately, I’ve been doing a good job resisting walking into such budget friendly, fashion-forward stores such as H&M. How can anyone walk in and walk out empty handed unless they forget their wallet? The ease of online-shopping is bad enough, let alone seeing a store full of beautiful things in person and waiting for the swipe of your credit card to go home with you. This lace shoulder red peplum top was my latest give in. It was just too pretty and such a deal for $30! Together these two items can definitely turn heads in an office setting. Luckily for you, they are the perfect pair for the blog.
Tony and I wanted to give this look an editorial feel. We found an architecturally simulating building hiding among a few commercial buildings in Culver City. I love a structured background. Give me a brick wall over a neighborhood sidewalk for a photo shoot any day!
Thank you for stopping by…
