One early morning while Tony and I were in New York City for Fashion Week, I managed to roll out of bed at 6am (3am LA time), get dressed, put makeup on and hail a taxi all before 7am. Our mission- get amazing shots of the Brooklyn Bridge before the city woke up and crowded the streets. Tony was amazed I was able to wake up so early. (In case you didn’t already guess – I am NOT a morning person.) What motivated me was knowing it was now or never. Who knows the next time I would be in NYC, let alone with a photographer willing to wake up that early with me and head over the bridge to Brooklyn.
Honestly shooting blog photos first thing in the morning is the best. It minimizes random people showing up in our photos and then we have the entire rest of the day to do whatever we want! (In full disclosure- we totally went back to our room at the Roger Hotel (read about our stay here) and passed out for another 3 hours. LOL.
The whole reason I am telling you this story is simply this- just get up and do it. Whether it’s taking a trip, talking to a cute guy, or starting your dream job, you may never get the chance again and you don’t want to look back and ever have to say “I wish I had just gone for it.”
