How to Find Motivation, Laura Lily Lifestyle Blog, Vintage Louis Vuitton, Blank NYC Morning suede moto jacket,

I have been blogging for over 5 years and thankfully, I never run out of things to write about. However, from time to time I do run out of motivation to actually write out my ideas. Perhaps it’s the burn out from a full-time corporate job, constant housework as a home owner or my lack of sleep from an active social life. By the time I come home, the last thing I want to do is sit in front of a computer for another 3 hours to put together a blog post. It makes me feel so much better when I hear other people talking about their motivation slumps. Particularly bloggers since we have the similar issues to deal with: editing photos, social media promotion, brand emails, etc, etc, etc.

Recently, I even thought I was getting burnt out from blogging. That terrified me. Years of endless effort, time and money that I’ve poured into Laura Lily all going to be lost from a burn out? We hear it happening all the time. Bloggers work themselves to death until they just can’t take it anymore.  I don’t think (and I hope to God) that will never be me. I love this blog too much. It’s my biggest accomplishment in my life thus far. So I went out on a hunt to find motivation to keep going, and here is what I found…

Surround yourself with people who love and understand you. I call them my inspiration circle – a group of girlfriends and bloggers who are always supportive. I can spend just a few minutes with these creative gals and immediately I want to run home and start writing out some great idea that we talked about. You’ll notice I’m more active on social media when I’m out and about with my girls. We support and give each other the confidence to take chances we may not normally take ourselves. It’s a beautiful thing and I am so grateful to have them in my life.

So next time you find yourself in a rut, get together with a group of people who inspire you and I promise you’ll find that motivation you’ve been looking for.

Side Note: I am still freaking in love with this suede moto jacket. The fit and quality are everything I could hope for. I want to get another color, I just can’t decide between the blue or light grey. Thoughts?

  1. Love the jacket color! Now you’re making we want to go back and get it. I got the tan one and it looks so nice. I almost got the blue one but it wasn’t impressive in person. Looked a little dull. Maybe because it was the last one.
