Fall is my favorite season. When I think of fall, two words come to mind: cozy and delicious. Cozy describes the warm sweaters and blankets I want to wrap myself in. Delicious describes all the good food I want to eat: pumpkin pie, apple cider and lots of soup. My goodness I am getting hungry just writing this! The cooler weather just makes me want to curl up on the couch with some hot cocoa and watch a good movie in my sweatpants. I know I am not alone on this.

Once the season changes, both my closet and my home decor get swapped out. It’s like a mini celebration to welcome the new season.  It only took one trip to Home Goods to completely change the look of my living room. I grabbed some new fall themed pillows, popperie, and a houndstooth throw and POW… the room was transformed.  I thought I’d share some easy ways to bring fall decor into your home without spending a ton of money:

1. Swap Out Your Throw Pillows

Pillows are an inexpensive and easy way to change the look of a room. Each pillow can cost about $20 or more. I like to get mine at stores like TJMaxx, Home Goods, or Target. There are also some great selections on Etsy and Bed ,Bath & Beyond! If you are feeling crafty you can even make your own pillow covers then store just the fabric when you swap out for a new season.

2.  Scented Candles

Fall candles smell soooo good! Scents like pumpkin and cinnamon wafting through the air are such a delight. I like to get really pretty candles that once the candle burns down I can reuse the jar for something else like this Voluspa candle. Or fancy candle holders like the gold ones I scored at Home Goods.

3. Grab a Cozy Throw Blanket

I knew I wanted either a faux fur or a fall-colored throw blanket to drape over a chair. This mustard houndstooth throw is the perfect combination of stylish and cozy (also a Home Goods find, but I found a similar version here.

4. Add Popperie!

I got popperie for the first time this year and I have to say I really like it. I don’t have to light anything on fire like I do with a candle to smell it. Plus it looks really pretty sitting in a bowl with all the different colors and textures.
