Nordstrom Felicity and Coco Tie-Front Summer Work Dress

This weekend was so much fun! My family came over for lunch on Saturday for a little send off party for my brother. He’s moving to New York this month to attend Columbia University and we could not be more proud. I spent all Friday night and Saturday getting the house ready (i.e. cleaning and setting up.) When I know people are coming over I love getting everything ready. Call me crazy, but I cannot help it. Maybe it has something to do with being half Persian? My grandmother would always get the house all fancy and cook a huge meal for her guests. I posted a few photos of the set up on my Instagram. Is it strange that I am already looking forward to Thanksgiving when I get to have my family come over again? Or Christmas when I get to put up a gigantic tree?! LOL, I am a strange one I know.

I rarely show you guys what I wear to my full-time office job. Maybe that is because when the opportunity arises to shoot fun looks for the blog the last thing I think about is photographing work looks. But every once in a while I will make sure to post a wear-to-work look. This particular work outfit is a summer favorite. This blue dress fits me just right and the blue is absolutely stunning. It’s a nice light weight fabric for those hot summer days. This is also the dress that I wore for the photos we shot in the hotel room in Vancouver.

P.S. I came to the realization that Fashion Week is only NINE DAYS AWAY!!! OMG. I feel like I’m going to turn around and be on a plane. Better start packing!
