Mother’s Day is THIS Sunday, May 14th! Are you ready!? Ever since I was a little girl, my favorite gift to give my mom for Mother’s Day was a card. I would pull out all of my coloring markers and construction paper to make her the best card I could. Every year she would display it on her desk or post it on the refrigerator for all to see and I would be so proud that she loved my gift.
When I graduated high school, my mom bought me a beautiful box of thank you cards from PAPYRUS to send out to family and friends thanking them for my gifts. The cards were so pretty I did not even want to take them out of the box! I asked her for a second box to keep for myself and so she took me to the PAPYRUS store. I walked in and was mesmerized with all of the pretty stationary and cards, even the little trinkets at the counter. From that day on, I was hooked. Since then, every year for her birthday and Mother’s Day, I pick my mom out a pretty card from PAPYRUS.
Sometimes I’ll place little “one free back rub” coupons, a gift card, or a special photo of us together and she loves that. She still displays them on her desk at home. Recently, I opened a box at her house to discover that she had kept all the cards I had given her for Mother’s Day including the very cards I used to make for her.
Something as small as a card can bring such a special memory and a personal touch. So I am very happy to be partnering with PAPYRUS on this post to share my favorite Mother’s Day cards and gifts with all of you! This year I decided to give my mom this card and a special framed photo of when I was little. These pretty Kate Spade coasters add a nice touch to go under her new coffee cup. Of course wrapping presents is half the fun, so I’ll be wrapping everything in this adorable polka-dot gift bag!
