Tropical Vacation Must-Haves

There are a few things that every jet setter should bring on a tropical vacation. Let’s start with a great pair of denim like these Levi’s 501 Original shorts. These are a wardrobe staple. I always like to bring a straw carryall tote with me on vacation. I bring it as a carry-on when I fly and use it to carry towels, books, and sunglasses to the beach. A straw hat is also a necessity for those long pool days to give your face and shoulders a break from the sun.

Tropical Accessories

Bright and bold accessories like this Tibi necklace and this gold and pearl style are always fun to wear while on vacation.  A long-tunic is a versatile piece that can be worn as a cover-up to the beach and while shopping at the local beach markets.

Beach Attire

Plan to pack one swimsuit for each day of your vacation. That way you can alternate between styles, two pieces like this Tropicana triangle bikini for laying by the pool. One-piece swimsuits for boating or other water activities. Cut-out swimsuits are also a great option for those wanting a bit more security without giving up the two-piece mentality. I am a huge fan of this metallic one-piece swimsuit. And of course, if you are looking to make a statement, look no further than this puff sleeve swimsuit. It can be worn both as a swimsuit or as a top with jean shorts or a wrap skirt.

Make sure to have a slip-on pair of flip-flops. Don’t forget to pack a hat like this bucket hat and a sarong that can be used as a beach cover-up and worn multiple ways.

A Night On the Town

No matter where you are traveling to, I always suggest packing a nice dinner outfit. For Tropical vacations, a mini dress with espadrille wedges and a small straw bag will do just the trick. Pair it with some hoop earrings and you have the perfect evening look.

As always, thank you for stopping by, and happy shopping at Shopbop!

xoxo,

Laura
