The Devil Wears Prada

I love Anne Hathaway, her transformation in the film, and the clothes she wears. Meryl Streep adds such a great element to this film. She is an incredible actress and plays her part so well. I also dream of living in NYC someday and working for a fashion company.  But I’m sure you knew that already.

In honor of Anne and her many fabulous looks, I have decided to dedicate this post to her looks in the film. One day soon, when it is not 95 degrees in LA ( I know I should not be complaining) I will recreate these outfits for you all. Until then, enjoy the photos of my favorites and get inspired Andrea Sachs style!

Not to mention the double Chanel necklaces. The hat adds an extra interesting element. If you don’t feel like wearing a hat, a ponytail would also be a great look for this ensemble. The Devil Wears Prada, LA Fashion BLogger Laura Lily, Andy Sachs, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Outfits from the Devil Wears Prada, (Image) This has me written all over it. Belted trench coats are warm and show off a woman’s waist instead of it being hidden under a bulky winter coat. Don’t forget to wear nylons to help keep the heat in. No one wants to bare naked legs in the winter, especially in NYC!

Black nylons with dark boots make your legs go on for miles. They also allow you to wear dresses or skirts that are a little shorter without looking like a hoochie mama.

Any thoughts on your favorite outfits from this movie? Or other films that inspire your style and way of life?

  1. Anyone know the designer or name of the boots in the last photo, worn with the long cardi and short dress? Can’t find it anywhere, and these are phenomenal.

  2. I couldn’t refrain from commenting. Well
    written!
