I am enjoying every second of this summer weather and being able to wear outfits like this sheer bodysuit maxi dress and gold embroidered polka dot top.  What is really special about both of these looks I styled for this post, is that each one is head to toe Express. I’ve been a brand fan for years and even worked for Express all four years of college.  Needless to say, that would explain why so many of the clothes I own now are Express. (#BrandFanForLife.)  What initially drew me to the brand all those years ago, and still does today, is that Express and I share the same core styling elements: confident, sexy and vibrant. I am never afraid to push my style boundaries and always love to add pops of color! When I was asked to share how I style sheer outfits, I knew immediately that I wanted these looks to be fun and sophisticated.

Recently, I attended a pool party and decided to wear this bikini bodysuit maxi dress. It is sexy without being overdone and perfect for the occasion since it was more a “stand and look pretty pool party.” I accessorized the dress with a pair of white tassel earrings, and the cutest clutch I’ve ever seen that says “Hola Beaches.” I die laughing every time I read it! I wanted to add an extra pop of color so I also wore these strappy pink sandals.

The next night my friends met me for dinner.  I wanted to dress up in something ultra chic, yet comfortable. I found this beautiful one shoulder blouse that has gold polka dots all over it.  The top was the main element of the outfit so I kept the rest of the look more subdued with neutral t-strap sandals, a gold pave disk choker necklace, and light gold shorts. Although I was able to add in a little something extra with this studded bucket bag. It’s the perfect bag for a variety of dressy looks and I got so many compliments on it that night!

The last thing to remember about styling sheer fabrics is to wear what you’re comfortable with and always accessorize with a smile.  Thank you for reading!

xoxo,
Laura
