Best Beauty Products for Dry Skin to Use in the Shower:

Lately, this dry weather has been wreaking havoc on my poor skin and I know I am not alone on this!  As someone who generally suffers from dry, tired skin, I’m constantly in search for the best hydrating products to use. Well, I’m happy to announce that I’ve found a few that make the cut for the best beauty products for dry skin! I’ve been using these products for about a month and noticed when I do I don’t feel the need to be applying lotion as often throughout the day or feeling that uncomfortable pull of dry skin.  Here they are and why they make my list for the best beauty products for dry skin to use in the shower…

L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil

My skin is very sensitive to the ingredients in a lot of bath soaps. Especially after I learned that a lot of soap brands can strip your skin of its natural oils and completely dry it out! This almond shower oil by L’Occitane softly cleanses, helps to hydrate and nourish my skin all-day-long.

Dermalogica Essential Cleansing Solution

This face wash by Dermalogica is a creamy, nourishing cleanser specially formulated for dry skin. It is a non-foaming formula that gently lifts impurities off the skin while replenishing dry skin and maintaining moisture levels. The essential part of any cleanser with someone with dry skin is that it does not pull away the natural oils that your body produces to help protect and hydrate your skin.

It uses moisturizing safflower oil to soften and condition with extracts of rosemary and lemon extracts that refresh tired skin. It is also: gluten-free, vegetarian, no artificial fragrances and colors, paraben-and cruelty-free.

Another product I pair with this cleansing solution a few times a week is Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant. It is agentley daily exfoliating powder that can be used on all skin types. It consists of a rice-based poweder formulat that’s activated by water. It exfoliates the dead skin cells to reveal smoother and brighter skin. Dermalogica’s unique Skin Brightening Complex helps to balance uneven skin pigmentation. It also includes a blend of green tea, ginkgo, and colloidal oatmeal which helps to calm the skin. It’s even gentle enough to use on a daily basis.

Avon Anew Hydra Fusion In-Shower Mask

I love a good face mask, especially one as easy as the Avon Anew Hydra Fusion In-Shower Mask.  After I’ve washed my face and turn off the water, I simply splash this mask on my face to lock in moisture. My skin instantly feels hydrated and ready for either my morning or evening skincare ritual.. (Coming next week on the blog!)

This mask contains hyaluronic acid, a super hydrator naturally found in skin and lost over time. Fun fact: Hyaluronic acid holds more than 1,000 times its weight in water! It instantly locks in moisture helping skin to look and feel smoother. This formula is not greasy, oil-free, no rinse needed, hypoallergenic, Dermatologist and allergy-tested!
It also contains raspberry antioxidant, a potent ingredient that helps defend skin from environmental stressors to keep skin looking healthy and glowing. Something we are ALL looking for.

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum Fez

This body serum works better and nourishes my skin more deeply than any lotion I had previously been using. It is made up of a blend of essential oils and vitamin E help soothe redness and irritation and to provide deep hydration. I lightly pat dry my skin with a towel and then massage this body serum all over my body. It doesn’t feel heavy or oily. The key ingredients consist of olive and coconut oil and it is ideal for all skin types! It is also natural, gluten-free, vegan, certified organic, and certified cruelty-free!

Other tips for keeping your skin moisturized in dry weather:

  • Try to keep as much moisture in the air as possible. I don’t let the steam escape the bathroom until I’ve applied all of my creams and lotions.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Sleep with a humidifier. I have this one from Amazon and keep it on while I am working from home. I also used to have a portable one that I would fix to the top of my water bottle when I worked at an office. How well that one worked, I can’t really say.
