I miss Paris. In my book club we are currently reading, “Tools of Titans” by Tim Ferriss. My favorite chapter so far has been “How to earn your freedom” where Tim talks about how “travel isn’t just for changing what’s outside, it’s for reinventing what’s inside.”

He points out that for some reason we put travel on this pedestal, an accessory to our daily lives where we often use a majority of our wealth to buy a “lifestyle” instead of the mind opening and life changing experiences that travel can offer.

He states that “your travels are not in escape from your real life, but a discovery of your real life.” And in that, I wholeheartedly agree, because when we travel, we often open our minds to new ways of life, new cultures and new people more so than we ever would at home. And with this we discover who we really are.

Needless to say, I highly recommend this book to anyone who would like to learn more about the thought processes habits and routines have some very influential people.

Paris, I’ll see you again soon. ❤️

I may not have a human baby yet, but this little girl has taught me more about motherhood than I ever thought possible. She’s taught me patience and love. That life is too short not to smile everyday. Always be prepared for surprises. Staying up all night, forgoing nights out to babysit. Then one look from those big puppy eyes and all is forgiven. I’m a better human because of her and I can’t imagine my life without her.
