Aaron and I celebrated our one-year anniversary earlier this month and it makes me smile every time I look at these photos from our stay at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills. We agreed a staycation would be best and we wanted it to be somewhere iconic that we could revisit again and again. This hotel has always been one of my favorite hotels for its rich history, sophistication, and incredible architecture. This hotel has been the backdrop of plenty of photoshoots over the years including here, here, here, and here.
The Beverly Wilshire Hotel has been around for almost 100 years. Hosting many well-known names over the decades and being the location for many. I always love a good history lesson so here are 10 facts about this legendary hotel that you may not know. We had a corner suite room that overlooked downtown Los Angeles all the way to the ocean where we could watch the sunset.
We wanted to have something special to remember our first anniversary for years to come so we asked Taylor to take photos for us. She captured the evening and the elegant surroundings so perfectly; as she always does. It was the perfect occasion to finally wear this satin dress I had been hanging on to. The look was paired with these gold embellished sandals and a classic handbag. For my second look, I wore a black midi-dress with an open back and thigh-high slit that adds a bit of drama.
Our Anniversary dinner reservation took place at The Blvd. The swanky restaurant and art-deco-inspired lounge with Californian cuisine is located right inside the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. We dined on the most delicious house-made ricotta and crispy marbled potatoes for appetizers. We shared the spinach & mushroom tortellini skillet and lobster Pappardelle. For dessert, the kitchen brought us a tiramisu for our special celebration.
