Every time I would watch a plane go by in the sky I would look up and wish it was me going somewhere. Well, that wish is coming true! Paris vacation…Here I come!  I’ve been talking about going on a Paris vacation for over a year and next month it is finally happening! This year I told myself no more excuses for not traveling. I am going to do my research, find affordable flights and GO! I haven’t been out of the country since Vancouver in 2016 and that’s just not like me because I used to visit a new country (and new state) every year!

I’ve been on a Paris vacation before in my early 20s when I backpacked through Europe with a friend. We stayed at a tiny hostel and ate bread and cheese for breakfast, lunch, and dinner (you know the good ole’ college budget.) Now I’m going back 10 years later and get to appreciate it from a more creative perspective as I tour the streets looking for hidden gems to capture with a camera.

My Paris Pinterest board has been a real help with tips and travel guides for where to stay and the best places to visit. I will also be creating my own Paris Travel Guide shortly after this Paris vacation with all my personal recommendations.

Here are just a few things I am looking forward to: getting on an airplane (loyal Delta babe right here!), getting my new passport stamped, practicing my French, sitting at countless cafes taking in the sights, seeing the Effiel Tower, wearing all my berets, visiting Versaille, eating French croissants, and finally wearing all of the spring dresses I’ve been saving for this trip.

I’ve also been trying to learn a bit of French with the help of YouTube videos and a few Parisian films:

  • Sabrina
  • Midnight in Paris
  • Amelie
  •  The Da Vinci Code
  • Hugo
  • Ratatouille
  • Paris Je t’aime
  •  Moulin Rouge
If you have any recommendations for my Paris vacation of where we should eat, sleep, see, please let me know in the comments below!

Also, I’m accepting a few collaboration opportunities. If you are a brand and are interested please email me: laurayazdi@outlook.com

And as always, thank you for reading.

xoxo,
Laura
