It’s true, I have a slight obsession with capes. So I find it amazing that I only own five; three of which are black (here, here, and here.) I suppose I don’t own more because the ones I fall in love with tend to be ones a bit out of my price range designers whose shoes I would rather own. Since in LA cape season only lasts about 3 months, I figure I can get more use out of shoes.
Although every once in a while I get lucky and find an inexpensive cape like this little black cropped version from Bloomingdales. On sale for a mere $35. I tried it one at least a dozen times before finally giving into yet another black cape. It is shorter and much lighter than my BCBGMAXAZRIA cape and a great option for warmer months.
